<p>Wyman Worldwide Health Partners (WWHPS) seeks a Director to run its Comprehensive Community Health Initiatives &amp; Programs (CCHIPS) project in Northern Rwanda. The Director will be responsible for the overall planning, management and implementation of the <span class="caps">CCHIPS </span>pilot project at Shingiro Health Center. With successful outcomes and available funding, he/she will be instrumental in replicating the <span class="caps">CCHIPS </span>project at other sites. The position supervises three (3) local professional staff and reports to and works closely with <span class="caps">WWHPS</span>’ founder in Hanover, New Hampshire.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities/Duties</strong></p>

<p>The Director will provide primary in-country support in planning, supervising and implementing all activities of the program within budget. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: </p>

<p><em>Overall Project Management</em>:</p>

<p>•       Implement program activities and manage project personnel to achieve the objectives agreed to in <span class="caps">CCHIPS</span>’ Action Plan including infrastructure upgrades, human capacity building and community outreach.<br />
•	Develop strategic plans to further <span class="caps">WWHPS</span>’ overall mission <br />
•	Serve as strategic counterpart and sounding board to <span class="caps">WWHPS </span>founder on programmatic, field and organizational issues. <br />
•	Oversee proper collection of data and dissemination of information needed to monitor and evaluate project activities.<br />
•	Coordinate and manage professional medical and volunteer exchange program.</p>

<p><em>Financial and Administrative:</em></p>

<p>•	Work with <span class="caps">WWHPS </span>founder to develop annual field budget.<br />
•	Prepare monthly <span class="caps">CCHIPS </span>financial reports using QuickBooks and ensure timely submission of financial reports.<br />
•	Manage all aspects of <span class="caps">CCHIPS </span>personnel – contracts, monthly salaries, taxes, social security, health insurance, vacation etc in compliance with Government of Rwanda Labor laws.<br />
•	Oversee Clinic’s monthly health data and financial reporting to District officer.<br />
•	Responsible for all in-country banking activities.<br />
•	Submit monthly internal progress reports and 6 and 12 month activities reports to Rwandan Stakeholders<br />
•	Manage project house, office space, communications, transportation, local procurement, and general logistics</p>

<p><em>Communication:</em></p>

<p>•	Serve as primary liaison between <span class="caps">CCHIPS </span>project in Rwanda and <span class="caps">WWHPS </span>headquarters in <span class="caps">USA. </span><br />
•	Promote and facilitate effective communication between <span class="caps">CCHIPS,</span> Rwandan stakeholders and <span class="caps">USA </span>regarding progress and results.<br />
•	Provide necessary content (written and visual) for submission to website manager and for other fundraising and marketing purposes.</p>

<p><strong>Qualifications/Requirements</strong></p>

<p><em>Education:</em> </p>

<p>Bachelor's Degree required with at least 5 years of progressively senior experience in team management and healthcare programs development including at least 2-3 years residency in one or more developing countries. Masters Degree in Public Health is desirable, but not required.</p>

<p><em>Skills and Abilities:</em></p>

<p>•	broad-based knowledge of primary health care issues; <br />
•	proven ability to lead and manage a team and the ability to work with other partner organizations and headquarters officers; <br />
•	Superb communication skills and possessing the ability to converse with people from diverse and varied backgrounds.<br />
•	Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy and cross-cultural sensitivity. <br />
•	Demonstrated experience and skills in leadership, staff management, program development and management<br />
•	Skills and knowledge in program sustainability and capacity building. <br />
•	Ability to live and work in a rural area with a limited ex pat community. <br />
•	Excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, Quickbooks (or capacity to learn new software quickly) <br />
•	Energetic, independent, self motivated personality.<br />
•	Able to drive a large standard vehicle and physically capable of navigating bad roads.<br />
•	Additional qualities: ability to multitask, ability to handle pressure well, ability to improvise, flexibility, adaptability to transitions.</p>

<p><strong>Annual Salary</strong></p>

<p>The initial contract is for two years with the possibility of renewal depending on performance. Salary based on qualifications, experience and available funding. Housing in project accommodation and other overseas allowances will be provided.</p>
